QC Industries Founded

March 1, 1981

QC Industries was founded by Norm Volkerding, an industrial equipment salesman who set out to design a top-of-the-line conveyor platform that would better meet his customers’ needs.

Move to Ferris Rd.

September 1, 1992

After a few moves among other facilities in town, our headquarters moved to Amelia, OH. This building was expanded in 1997.

David Dornbach purchases company

January 1, 1999

David Dornbach — who became QC Industries’ first employee in 1985 while in college at the University of Cincinnati — purchased the company upon Norm’s retirement at the age of 74. Before purchasing the company, David moved through the ranks as Operations Manager, General Manager, and Vice President/Co-Owner.

Move to Current Facility

September 1, 2000

With the company growing at an exponential pace and expanding into new markets, it was time to move to a new, modern facility that would offer room to grow in the future.

Automation Series Launched

February 15, 2007

As we expanded into the automation and assembly markets, our customers increasingly looked for us to provide a conveyor with an aluminum frame. Our Automation Series was the answer. It introduced several innovations, such as the Tension Release™ Tail and Pivot™ Drive to the low profile conveyor industry.

HydroClean Launched

February 17, 2015

To better meet the sanitary requirements of the food, pharmaceutical, and other markets, we launched our HydroClean Conveyors. Thanks to a unique series of pull-pins, they’re the first low profile belt conveyors that can be fully disassembled for cleaning without the use of tools.
